Summer at Cherry Optical, Inc involves lunches at the outdoor picnic tables, usually with the heavenly scent of the grill floating on the summer breeze. This week we’re gearing up to see a baseball game together as a company and we just finished distributing our new company t-shirts. In between work, there are conversations about vacations that take us from Montana to our favorite places in the north woods. Teamwork and friendship help cover the vacationing employee’s post while they are away. As a family built and oriented company, this show of camaraderie isn’t hard to find. Soon we will be making plans for one of the employee’s annual corn roast and it makes me hungry every time we talk about it. The sunshine lightens everyone’s spirit, but the cloudy days exude more focus. Everyone works hard throughout the day to get outside and play in the sun after his or her shifts. Wisconsin summers never last too long, but that only means that football season is making a comeback. Enjoy the weather, we sure are!
