Something Special from Wisconsin: What Does Being a Member Mean?

Cherry Optical Lab is proud to announce that we’ve been granted membership to a program called “Something Special from Wisconsin!” To become a member, “at least 50 percent of the value of our products and services must be attributable to Wisconsin ingredients, production, or processing activities.” As you’re about to learn, “there’s more than squeaky cheese curds, delectable craft brews, and grilling brats—that’s just the beginning.” You can read more at Something Special from Wisconsin: https://www.somethingspecialwi.com/.

What else is in Wisconsin, particularly in Green Bay, besides our Partners, the Green Bay Packers? The Packers’ name is indeed synonymous with our hometown; in fact, it’s one of the easiest ways to identify Wisconsinites, let alone the state. Green Bay is a small, blue-collar, working-class city. Still, surprisingly to some, we’re the home of national brands like Schreiber Foods, Georgia Pacific, and Belgioioso Cheese. Though we may not have grown to quite the same size as some of those companies listed, our tenacity remains the same.

This year, we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary and are proud to be an emerging name in our community. We’re hopeful that seeing this little red logo specific to WI on our products makes you feel good, too. We are passionate about what we do and are proud of it; being recognized alongside artisans from multiple industries across the state is an achievement we hope you will join us in celebrating. Keep an eye out for the little red logo; you’ll see we’re upholding our dedication to producing high-quality products and creating equally impressive customer experiences across America. We are thrilled to be a Wisconsin-made business and grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your patients!

Adam Cherry shares his thoughts on the unique charm of Wisconsin & what truly sets it apart:

"Wisconsin is special because Wisconsin is home. Home can mean a lot of things, but for me it means a place where I am comfortable and surrounded by people that I respect, trust, and love. There are great people all around this wonderful nation and planet we live on, but there is something truly unique and genuine about the great people of Wisconsin. For sure, we all have the commonality of dealing with our winters and the summers that always seem too short, but it’s all the times that come together to make living here special. We have amazing lakes, rivers, concert venues, and festivals to enjoy, not to mention the Kwik Trips and Culvers! But, for real, it’s the people and the consensus to be better, work harder, enjoy life, and respect one another that isn’t just talked about – it is on display all across the State."
